New to the world of snowsports? At our acclaimed Horst Locher Snowsports School, we offer something for all ages of every skill level – First-Time Private or Family/Friend Pod Packages, Kinder School Private or Family/Friend Pod Lessons, and Private Lessons. Whether you’re sending your little ones off for their first ski lesson, or taking one yourself, you can rest assured our PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) certified instructors are providing a safe and positive learning experience, all while developing new skills, improving technique, and most importantly, having fun out on the slopes!

Designed For

First-Time skiers and snowboarders, ages 8 and older who are looking for an introduction to winter sports.

Includes

Equipment rental (skis/board with boots, and helmet), 90-minute private lesson and a full access ticket for the full day. Up to $55 in savings packaged together!

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Rebooking Policy
We do not offer refunds for days with inclement weather, if the ski lifts are still able to operate safely, we still provide our activities and teach our lessons. However, we understand that plans can change so we offer the following cancellation & rebooking policy;
Outside of 48 Hours – Full Refund
24-48 Hours – 50% Refund
Less than 24 Hours – No Refund
There are no refunds if you have already rebooked your reservations once
No refunds will be given for no show tickets or cancellations/modifications after the designated start time
No shows will be charged the full price
Rebooking outside of 48 hours can be done through the confirmation email link received
Rebooking within 48 hours you must contact the resort
Same day rebooking request will be charged a $25 rebooking fee
Customers will receive a full refund in cases of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances or restrictions set by the Governor of Virginia.
Additional Notes

We highly recommend the use of helmets for skiers and snowboarders. The use of wrist guards for first time snowboarders is also highly recommended to help minimize risk of serious injury and they can be purchased in our ski shop.

Racing Clinics

Bryce Resort boasts one of the largest ski teams, with over 60 racers, in the Southern Region. Children may start Race Training Clinics as young as 6 1/2 years of age.
