This recreational program is designed for children who are not travelling to other resorts for competition but have low intermediate skiing skills. Children must be able to load the chairlift by themselves without assistance and should be able to ski green and blue slopes. These morning clinics are truly fun and expose camaraderie among the young children. The coaches will introduce the children to proper skiing skills, work on all aspects of skiing, mountain cruising and introduction to recreational ski racing. Parents can be selective with their attendance days, and we will have seven skill-level groups to accommodate the students. On January 4th and 5th, Bryce Resort is hosting the first USSA races in Virginia and the children will have a day-off from the clinics.
To register your child, please send an e-mail to Horst at skischool@bryceresort.com

JUNIOR SKI RACING TEAM 9 - 18 years
The ski team program is specific tailored for juniors who like to improve their skiing technique for slalom and giant slalom. During the morning clinics at Bryce Resort, the coaches work on skill improvements and extensive gate training. In the afternoons, the resort offers NASTAR races, where skiers can establish a race handicap. The clinic program is a great opportunity to learn to be self-disciplined, learning to set goals and create strong camaraderie. With good intermediate skiing skills young skiers can compete at nearby resorts like Massanutten and Wintergreen. The first USSA race will be held on January 4th and 5th at Bryce Resort. Competing at other ski resorts, the traveling coach will train the juniors specifically for the scheduled event. To register your juniors racer, please send an email to Horst at skischool@bryceresort.com
A junior who will compete in one or several USSA ski races, must be a member of the Southern Alpine Race Association www.saraski.org and of the US Ski Association www.ussa.org. Families who would like to have more information about the ski club activities, ski associations and travelling arrangements, please contact Mike Abert at m.abert@landscapeprojects.com.
