Important Note

If you are using an online map service or GPS device to find Bryce Resort, the results can be confusing as the route described may take you through back roads and residential areas. The best directions to our Basye resort are listed below on this page.


From Washington, DC

Take I-66 west to I-81 south.

Exit I-81 at exit 273 (Mt. Jackson).

Turn east (left) on Rt. 292 to Rt. 11.

Go south (right) on Rt. 11 to Rt. 263.

Go west (right) on Rt. 263 for 11 miles to Resort Dr. and the entrance of Bryce Resort on your right.

Follow road to stop sign; parking in front of the Bryce Resort Lodge is straight ahead.

Note: 15-minute parking is available in front of the Main Lodge.

From the North

Take I-81 south.

Exit I-81 at exit 273 (Mt. Jackson).

Turn east (left) on Rt. 292 to Rt. 11.

Go south (right) on Rt. 11 to Rt. 263.

Go west (right) on Rt. 263 for 11 miles to Resort Dr. and the entrance of Bryce Resort on your right.

From the South

Take I-81 north.

Exit I-81 at exit 269 (Mt. Jackson/Shenandoah Caverns).

Turn east (right) to Rt. 11.

Go north (left) on Rt. 11 to Rt. 263.

Go west (left) on Rt. 263 for 11 miles to Resort Dr. and the entrance of Bryce Resort on your right.

Follow road to stop sign; parking in front of the Bryce Resort Lodge is straight ahead.

Approximate distances from some other cities

Fredericksburg, VA: 2.5 hours

Richmond, VA: 3 hours

Roanoke, VA: 2.25 hours

Charlottesville, VA: 1.5 hours

Virginia Beach, VA: 5 hours


Air Transportation

The closest airport with commercial flights available is Shenandoah Regional Airport (SHD) which is about an hour away from the resort. For a larger airport with more daily commercial flights, use Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) both about 90 minutes away from the resort. Washington National (DCA) is another convenient option located about 120 minutes away.
