Bryce Bike Park is a fun and friendly place to learn techinques favorable to riding downhill and enduro better.
Enjoy bettering your mountain bike skills through practice with professional and experienced female instructors. There will be a favorable coach to student ratio that allows for individual attention and specific instruction. Sunday is a full day of instruction and riding at Bryce Bike Park. This year’s certified instructors are Sue Haywood, Kelly Hazlegrove and Hillary Marques. Some teaching will be at the bottom of the mountain but the focus is on riding the chairlift and the park trails of Bryce. Full face helmet and pads are required. A downhill bike is not required. Flat pedals are recommended as well as is a dropper post or low saddle height. A light, delicious lunch is provided as well as refreshing beverages throughout the day.
We will have four group levels to choose from. Level 1 is for the beginners and first time bike park riders. Learn right and stoke your riding fire. There will be two level 2 groups and one level 3 group. Level 2A is for a strong intermediate rider who has solid foundational skills possibly through previous instruction, experience in the bank, frequent bike park visits or is a hard charging intermediate. Level 2B is also an intermediate group for riders that are seeking to challenge their mountain biking and are hungry for progression with cornering and drops but at a more laid back pace or have a bit more trepidation.
Level 3 is the most advanced group. This group will work on the mechanics of sound and safe jumping. This is a great opportunity to learn from certified ICP Level 3 coach, Kelly Hazlegrove, about progressing your jumping skills and finding your wings. A prerequisite is a previous skills clinic or approval from Kelly. A working knowledge of preload and lifts is helpful.”
