Kinder School

Our Kinder Ski and Snowboard Programs are designed to teach children ages 4 1/2-7 how to ski and ages 6-7 how to snowboard.

Two new carpet lifts were added to the Children's Snowsport Learning Center, allowing us to separate our very young beginners from our older students. 

Your kids will love our ski and snowboard instructors and will have fun learning a new sport while you take a lesson, hit the upper slopes, or relax by the fire in the Fireside Grill or the Copper Kettle.

Children must possess the muscle strength to manuever skis/snowboard boots and skis or snowboards on the snow.

Program Rates

Half-Day AM or PM Session: Carpet Lift Ticket & Lesson    $59                   Including Rental*   $74

Included in Kinder School Session:

• Lift ticket

• 1 1/2 hours of ski or snowboard instruction*

• Indoor activities

• Hot chocolate and snack break

*Actual time on the snow may vary depending on weather conditions or your child's willingness to participate. 

Our philosophy is to encourage children to ski and snowboard, to let them enjoy themselves, and to give them confidence so they want to keep trying.  Most children respond positively to the reassuring attitude of our young instructors and want to join their new friends on the snow.  If your child responds better to one-on-one instruction, we also offer private lessons, subject to instructor availability.

Kinder School is designed for First Time and Beginner level skiers and snowboarders.  The main area for this program is in our newly designed Children's area and lower slopes.

We accept students on a first-come, first-served basis.  You may sign up for half-day or full-day sessions, but full-day students should be picked up at Noon to enjoy lunch with your family.

Check-In at the Snowsports School front desk located at the base of the Little Nip ski slope.  For more information, feel free to e-mail us with any questions.

The easiest way for children to get straight to the slopes is by using our ONLINE REGISTRATION. That way, all the paperwork will be completed when you arrive and you can just sign and ride.
